The MCP protocol was created to make it easy to extend LLMs, and it is deliberately open. Many MCPs, however, are created without the proper thought given to security, and our research has shown that vulnerable and poorly configured MCP servers are not rare. In this session we will show our findings, and provide security best practices for MCP creators, as well as tools to vet MCP security posture for users.
